Within the framework of encouraging and educating the goals of sustainable development by benefiting from success stories and experiences that have been achieved by various state institutions during the past years, The Abbasid Shrine, in partnership with the Ministry of Planning, organized the first annual conference on local experiences and success stories in implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan. For the period 14-15 December 2022.
A group of researchers and experts participated in the conference, who presented a number of applied experiences, which were presented during a series of sessions in the halls of the Abbasid shrine and Al-Ameed University in the holy governorate of Karbala. A field visit was also made to some successful experiments implemented by the Abbasid shrine on the ground, such as the Al-Kafeel Hospital and University, Al-Afaf Complex, and an exhibition of products. The conference came out with important results and recommendations that could contribute to supporting efforts to achieve the goals of sustainable development and establishing future activities and events.
