The Ministry of Planning issues a guide for the follow-up and measurement system for the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals

The Ministry of Planning announced the issuance of a guide for the follow-up and measurement system for the goals of sustainable development 2030. He indicated that the guide included four chapters: The first dealt with the final document that was adopted at the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2015 in New York, (Transforming Our World: The Sustainable Development Plan 2015-2030) and emphasizing the 17 goals, 169 goals, and 232 indicators, and addressing the important challenges and Iraq’s vision for them, with reference to the indicators that can be calculated.While the second chapter dealt with the system for following up the sustainable development goals agenda and measuring its impact, while it highlighted The third chapter highlights the method of calculating the indicators of sustainable development goals and the reference adopted in the calculation methods, as it included the calculation methods for (110) indicators within the first level that was calculated, and did not include the calculation of indicators within the second and third levels.The statement indicated that the fourth chapter presented A questionnaire that included applied models that can be approved by the Ministry to align tasks and plans with the goals of sustainable development 2030, as it was presented in the form of a matrix that included (goals, objectives, indicators, department tasks, activities, programs and plans, achievement rate, sub-indicators, data sources, measurement unit, and measurement methodology The indicator, the level of detail, the periodicity of calculating the indicator, the participating parties, and the observations).
